40 Years of Honest Work in Portland, Maine
Dan opened the doors in January 1984 and Nick joined him to carry it forward — with family working alongside every step of the way. Same family, same values, same commitment to getting your repair done right.
A Family Business Built on Trust
Downeast Appliance Service and Parts was founded by Dan in January 1984 with a simple idea: treat every customer the way you'd want to be treated. What started as a one-man operation grew into a true family business. Dan's son Nick joined in 2003, and family members have worked alongside them ever since. That family spirit has shaped everything we do.
Over the years, Dan and Nick have repaired tens of thousands of appliances for Portland-area families. They've watched kids grow up, seen neighborhoods change, and stayed right here in Portland through it all. When you call us, you're calling people who are genuinely invested in this community.
We specialize in American-made brands because we believe in their quality and repairability. But we stock parts for most appliances brands foreign and domestic. Our job is to help you with whatever appliance issue's you've got.

Community
We live and work here too. Your neighbors are our neighbors. That matters to us.
